LOCAL DANCE TEAM BECOMES WORLD CHAMPIONS WHILE COACH BECOMES COACH OF THE YEAR

(Melbourne) The Dance Mania All-star Senior Pom has placed first, receiving a Gold medal, at the DANCE WORLDS Competition held April 24-25 at the EPCOT World Showcase in Orlando, Florida. The World Dance Competition showcased dance teams from all over the world. The DANCE WORLDS is hosted by the United States All Star Federation (USASF and International All Star Federation (IASF). Teams from Germany, Australia, New Zealand, China, Brazil, and Japan were among the many countries represented during the two day event. The Dance Mania Senior Pom team is comprised of teenagers ranging 14-19 years of age.
“The girls have worked really hard all year for this moment. The talent of the teams at this competition is incredible and to obtain the World Champion is a tremendous honor” said Dance Mania owner, Dana Parsons.
The Senior Pom team was not the only ones recognized at the event. The organization’s owner, Dana Parsons, was recognized as the Dance Coach of the Year. The honor was presented to Mrs. Parsons by the United States All Star Federation (USASF and International All Star Federation (IASF) at the coach’s VIP banquet.
Dance Mania All-Stars is a competitive program comprised of students throughout Brevard and Indian River Counties. Established in 1999, the program holds over 300 championship titles with the latest being WORLD CHAMPION. Dance Mania focuses on developing teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership and integrity upon its students. Dance Mania is currently recruiting members for the 2011 world dance teams.
